The sprawling town of Owo in Ondo State was agog on Tuesday when Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, gave out his daughter, Teniola’s hand in marriage.
The groom, identified as Olatunde Oyeyilola, is also from a rich background in Yorubaland
The event had in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, including the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; former Osun State Governor, Chief Bisi Akande; Dr Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State; former governor of Ogun State and serving senator, Ibikunle Amosun, as well as his Oyo State counterpart, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Others who attended the traditional wedding were the Minister of Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; the Minister of State Labour and Employment, Senator Tayo Alasoadura; Minister of State for Health, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora; the wives of the governors of Edo State, Betsy Obaseki; Lagos, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and Nasarawa State, Hajia Silifat A. A Sule.
Others were the former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko; former governor of Adamawa, Bala James Ngilari; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi Eniola Ojaja II; Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas, the Olugbo of Ugbo, Oba Frederick Akinruntan and the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.
The likes of Dr Wale Babalakin; Chief Niyi Akintola, SAN; Yusuf Alli, SAN; the Honourable Justices of the Ondo State Judiciary, led by Chief Judge, Honourable Justice Olutoyin Akeredolu and the President of the Industrial Court, Honourable Justice Babatunde Adejumo and wife, also witnessed the wedding ceremony.
