Chelsea Defeat Spurs On Penalties To Set Up League Cup Final Against City
Chelsea have progressed to the finals of the Carabao Cup after defeating London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, in a penalty shootout at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues scored two first-half goals, courtesy of Ngolo Kante and Eden Hazard.
But Fernando Llorente pulled one back five minutes into the second half to make it 2-2 on aggregate over both legs.
The home side tried to reclaim their advantage but Spurs defended well and dragged the game to the penalty shootout.
Willian, Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, and David Luiz converted from the spot while Eric Dier and Lucas Moura missed after Christian Eriksen and Eric Lamela had scored.
Victory for the Blues set up an eye-catching final against current holders of the competition, Manchester City at Wembley, on the 24th of February.
