Injured Neymar To Miss Man United Game, Out For Ten Weeks
PSG have confirmed that star forward, Neymar Jr, will miss ten weeks of action and their Champions League games against Manchester United.
The 26-year-old picked up a metatarsal injury on his right foot in PSG's Coupe de France victory over Strasbourg last week.
Following thorough examination, 'world-renowned medical experts' on Tuesday at the Club's training ground said that the Brazilian has now been ruled out for more than two months.
The Ligue 1 champions confirmed the sad news on their official website in a statement that read:
"After detailed analysis by the specialists, a consensus was reached of a conservative treatment of Neymar Jr's injury to the fifth right metatarsal.
"Informed of this recommendation, Paris Saint-Germain's Brazilian international striker agreed with this protocol. As a result, Neymar Jr is expected to return to the field within 10 weeks.
"Paris Saint-Germain sends its strongest support and encouragement to Neymar Jr to overcome this injury, with the courage and determination that the player has always shown."
Neymar suffered similar injury last season which kept him out of PSG's second leg tie against Real Madrid and the rest of the 2017-18 season.
The influential forward has scored 20 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Parisians.
