Former Nigeria international General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, has passed on after a brief illness.
News about his demise began to circulate very early on Monday morning but was later confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation.
The NFF wrote: “We are sad to announce the shocking demise of former Nigeria Int'l, Ex-NFF Gen. Sec., former NFF Executive Committee member, and current chairman, Osun State FA, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, after a brief illness. Our prayers are with his family, relatives and the football family in Nigeria.”
Taiwo played for Shooting Stars of Ibadan, formerly know as WNDC, before representing Nigeria in 1973. He died in a hospital in Ibadan.
