Former Manchester United gaffer, Sir Alex Ferguson, will return to the dugout for at least one last time for a special reunion match as the club marks the 20th anniversary of the treble-winning campaign.

The famous manager will coach a United Legends side when they play Bayern Munich legends at Old Trafford in a charity game on May 26.

The match will be a repeat of the classic comeback win against the Germans in the Champions League final that sealed United's third major trophy of the 1998-99 season.

Late goals by Teddy Sheringham and current interim manager, Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer, in injury time gave the Red Devil's a 2-1 in extraordinary circumstances.

The victory ensured United became the first (and till date the only English side) to win the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League treble.

Sir Alex eventually left Red Devils in the 2013 season after 27 years as the club's manager.

The 77-year-old will manage a team once more after recently undergoing emergency brain surgery following his admission to hospital on May 5, 2018.

Funds raised from the match will go towards charity via Manchester United Foundation.
