Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho, has vowed to win over Chelsea fans after being jeered by the club fans in recent matches.

The Italy international has been singled out for criticism because of his relationship with manager, Maurizio Sarri, who brought him from Napoli last summer.

Jorginho has endured a tough first season in England despite his impressive performance in his first few games in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old is one of the most vital members of Sarri's setup even though many Chelsea fans have suggested that their manager swap him for Ngolo Kante in Chelsea's defensive midfield position

But former Napoli boss, Sarri, has stuck with his man as he is reluctant Kante would be effective in a deep-lying playmaker role in his system.

This irked many Chelsea faithfuls who began to show their anger by booing Jorginho in their recent Europa league home win against Malmo.

The Brazil-born is, however, not worried as he understands the fans’ anger since results are not going their way.

"Of course, in this day and age, everything reaches you quickly. With technology everything is very fast," he told ESPN Brasil.

"The important thing is to know how to deal with the situation. I remained calm because I know this is what fans are like if you’re not winning they will complain and they have the right to do so.

"But I always stay focused and keep working. And I’m sure I’ll be able to show what I’m capable of and make them change their minds."

Improved showings in the penalty shootout defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final and victory over Tottenham on Wednesday has lifted some pressure off the team.

Chelsea are in action again on Sunday when they make a short trip to Fulham as they seek to keep their top four hopes alive.
