Salah To Give Up Champions League Dream For Premier League Title

Mohamed Salah is willing to sacrifice his dream of winning the Champions League if it would guarantee the Reds the Premier League title.

Liverpool is one point behind champions Manchester City in the chase for a first Premier League trophy since its inception twenty-nine years ago.

The Reds are in action tonight against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in Germany for the second leg of their round 16 ties.

Klopp's men have it all to play for after their first leg goalless draw against the Bavarians.

Salah admits Europe's elite competition is his priority over the Premier League, although he is willing to give it up for the League title just to please Liverpool fans.

"I will be honest with you, the most prestigious competition for me is the Champions League," the Egyptian told Sky Sports.

"But the dream for the entire city and the club in the league.

"So, I am happy to sacrifice my dream for their dream but if we win both that would be great and this is what we are trying to do."

The 26-year-old is Liverpool's top scorer this season with 20 goals in all competition but his form has come under criticism recently, following the forward's inability to find the back of the net in his last five games.

"The competition is very tough and we have difficult games left as do they."

"All you can do is win your games and hopefully they will fail in one so we can win the title.

"My mind is sharp and there is pressure but I am strong mentally and we just have to keep going.

"We will see what we can do at the end of the season but mentally I am ready for everything."
