Super Eagles striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu, has agreed on a deal to join Everton football club from Danish club side, FC Midtjylland.

The forward, who recently made his debut for the Super Eagles as a substitute in Nigeria's final qualifications game of the 2019 AFCON against Seychelles, signed a five-year deal that will start running in June 2019.

The Gunners will pay £25 million pounds to his present club for the lanky 24-year-old who has scored 14 goals in 24 games in the Danish Superliga.

Before agreeing to join Marco Silva's men, Onuachu was linked with other Premier League clubs as well as Portuguese giants, FC Porto.

The player revealed that one of the reasons he joined the Merseyside club was because he feels it would be the best place to continue his development.

"It is an honour to sign for this club in this wonderful league," he said in a press conference.

"I have played in Denmark for almost seven years now and I feel I am at that stage in my career when I need to make a change. I have spoken with the coach and I am excited to continue my development under him."

Everton boss, Marco Silva, is delighted to add the striker who he says would give them a different option in attack.

"Paul is a very tall and strong striker. He would give us another kind of option different from what we have already."

Onuachu will join Super Eagles teammate, Henry Onyekuru, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from the Premier League club.
