Nigeria has been drawn in Group B of the 2019 African Cup of Nations alongside Guinea, Madagascar and Burundi at the draw ceremony which took place behind the famous Giza Pyramids, Cairo.

The draw was presided by Anthony Baffoe and was assisted by African football greats Ahmed Hassan, Yaya Toure, and El Hadji Diouf.

Gernot Rohr's men will play their opening game against debutant, Burundi, on June 22 before engaging Guinea four games later. Their last game will be against another newbie, Madagascar.

Hosts, Egypt, will play against DR Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe in group A while defending champions, Cameroon, will have to battle with Ghana, Benin Republic, and Guinea-Bissau in Group F for a place in the next round.

Angola, Tunisia, Mali, and Mauritania were paired in Group E while one of the competition favourites, Senegal, will be favourite to go through in a group that houses Algeria, Kenya, and Tanzania in Group C.

In Group D, the second placed team from Nigeria's qualification group will play Morocco, Cote d’Ivoire, and Namibia in what many have picked as the toughest group.

The Super Eagles will be based in Alexandria for all of their group matches.
