Alexis Sanchez and Nemanja Matic have been named in Manchester United's 22-man squad that travelled to Barcelona ahead of Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg.

Sanchez has been out since sustaining a knee injury in United's 3-2 victory over Southampton on March 2 while Matic has missed out on the last three games with muscular injury.

The Chilean could feature against his former club, where he scored 47 times in 141 appearances between 2011 and 2014.

Left back, Luke Shaw, also travelled to Spain even though he is ineligible to play at the Camp Nou, having picked up a yellow card in the first leg at Old Trafford.

Ander Herrera, who has been linked with a move to PSG, and Eric Bailly have been left out while Italian defender, Matteo Darmian, makes the cut.

The Red Devils are looking to stage another miraculous come back after the 1-0 defeat they suffered at Old Trafford last week.

They will feel confident going into the game, having turned around a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round.

"We'll always take confidence from that but we also understand that it's not PSG, it's a different match, a different atmosphere, it's a completely different ball game," Solskjaer said ahead of the game.

"We go there confident but if we're going to win it's probably going to be different to how we did it in Paris.

"For us now we need to forget about the past. We know we've done it before, but all the focus has to be on how we're going to do it again because they're a strong team."
