Late Samuel Okwaraji has been celebrated by Google on his 55th posthumous birthday with a doodle on its home page.
A doodle depicting Okwaraji in the Super Eagles green home jersey in action with his iconic dreadlocks has been placed on the home screen of the search engine.
The ex-Nigerian international died on the 12th of August while playing for the Green Eagles against Angola during a World Cup Qualifier at the national stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
Recall that a similar gesture was made in the past by Google when they eulogized the legacy of iconic former Super Eagles captain and coach, Stephen Keshi, who died in 2016 with a doodle.
The act has been appreciated by many Nigerians who saw the great footballer play and even the younger ones who didn't.
