Lobi Stars head coach, Solomon Ogbeide, has been confirmed dead after he collapsed on Monday morning, some hours before the club's NPFL game.
The tactician was confirmed dead on arrival at a nearby hospital he was rushed to after he slumped and was unable to be revived.
According to Lobi Stars Welfare Officer, Shimmu, Ogbeide passed away after suffering from low blood pressure. He had before his untimely demise complained of not feeling well.
Ogbeide led the Pride of Benue to the group stage of the CAF Champions League after winning the league title last season. They were eventually knocked out after finishing bottom of the group.
The Makurdi based side is currently second in Group A in the Nigerian professional League table and has a solid chance of qualifying for the Super Six.
