Manchester United has reached an agreement in principle with Swansea for the signing of winger, Daniel James, the club confirms.

He will join the club officially next week when the international transfer window opens after successfully completing a medical at the Aon Training Complex this week.

James agreed on personal terms with the Manchester club before linking up with the Wales squad for their next set of European Championship qualifiers.

The Red Devils will pay Swansea £15m up front for the fast winger and another £3m tied up in add-ons.

The 21-year-old, who spent most of his career as a youth at Hull City before joining Swansea at the age of 16 where he made his debut, fits the profile of player, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

James had a good season with the Swans, scoring five times and assisting his teammates with 10 which resulted in him getting a call-up to the Wales national team setup where the United legend, Ryan Giggs, is a manager.
