Chelsea defender, Emerson Palmieri, has revealed how Eden Hazard left the Chelsea players' WhatsApp group following his move to Real Madrid.

The Belgian joined the Spanish giants earlier this month in a deal that could cost up to £130m plus add-ons.

The transfer, which was expected to happen this summer, was finalized while Chelsea players were either on holiday or international duty.¹

Brazilian-born, Italy International, Emerson, who is currently enjoying the off-season revealed in an interview with ESPN Brazil that the Belgian star used instant messaging service WhatsApp to bid one final farewell to the Blues.

"On the WhatsApp group, the last move there was Hazard's farewell.

"He said goodbye to the boys and such, since then, we don't know anything else. It's weird.

"He sent a 'thank you, I love you guys', and then it showed 'Eden Hazard left the group'.

"I said 'damn, he really left.'"

Hazard, who has been unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu in front of about 55,000 fans, would be keen to kick-start his Madrid career after making what he dubbed a dream move.
