The Englishman and two-time Wimbledon champion, who just returned to playing tennis after sustaining a hip injury that threatened his career, had his first comeback game on Thursday.
Murray and his partner, Feliciano Lopez, were up against British duo, Dan Evans and Ken Skupski, but they were leading the British duo 6-4 4-5 when the match was called off due to bad light issues. The match is slated to resume after the singles semi-final match later today.
If Murray and his partner win, they will go on to play the semi-final match just after the quarter-final win. A win means they will play three matches in succession.
The two players were in a good run of game in the first set, with Murray not really showing any signs of slowing down. But their opponents gave a good return into lead in the second set before the game was interrupted. Andy Murray is using these outlay of games as a warm up to a likely return to singles game later this year.
