Super Eagles forward, Samuel Kalu has returned to the team's training ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations clash against Guinea.

The winger who missed Nigeria's opening game against Burundi rejoins his colleagues after he was passed fit by CAF for the tournament.

The Bordeaux man had slumped in the Super Eagles final training session last Friday before their opener against the Swallow and was diagnosed to have suffered from dehydration rather than a heart attack that was first reported.

His return to the squad would be a boast to Gernot Rohr who has had to deal with several injuries and illness to key players during their preparations and after the commencement of the competition.

Kalu's return means only Jamilu Collins who also missed the first game and Shehu Abdullahi who pulled a hamstring against Burundi are unavailable for selection. Both players had separate training sessions at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport.

Although the Nigerian team arrived 40 minutes late to the training ground, owing to the important meeting they had earlier in the day with the NFF over their unpaid allowances.

They look set to put aside all of that as they look to secure a knockout place with a win tomorrow against the National Elephants.
