The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, hits back at US women’s national team captain, Megan Rapinoe, who refused to honour a possible invitation to the white house should her team retain the Women's World Cup.
Trump reportedly criticised Megan Rapinoe for refusing to sing the National anthem before a world cup match a few weeks ago.
Rapinoe was blunt to the media when she was asked if she would honour an invitation to the white house should her team retain the women's world cup trophy. She replied, "I'm not going to the f***ing white house!"
This statement was made shortly after the 33-year old winger guided her team to a round of 16 triumph over Spain. She scored two penalties as her team won 2-1 and sets up a juicy quarterfinal encounter with host nation, France.
Donald Trump, the outspoken and controversial ex-republican, took to his official Twitter account to slam the captain of the USA national women’s team. The angry president warned her never to disrespect the US flag and he also officially invited her and the US team to the White house (“win or lose”) in the ongoing world cup.
