Tottenham Hotspur fullback, Kieran Trippier, appears to be on his way to Atletico Madrid. He is expected to travel to Spain on Wednesday to undergo a medical test, as talks progress between both clubs.
The Spanish club is ready to offer striker, Angel Correa, as a part of the deal. Trippier is expected to be a direct replacement for Juanfran, who recently announced his retirement.
Trippier, 28, has been linked with Bayer Munich and Napoli recently. After a rather successful season with Tottenham where they finished 3rd in the 2018/19 premier league season and runners up in the Champions League, it would be interesting to see if this move happens.
Spurs seem to have a prepared replacement in Serge Aurier. We would be watching to see how this goes. The North Londoners have also splashed some cash during this window, with Ndombele from Lyon being their most recent. The defender was signed from Burnley after the sale of Kyle Walker in 2017.
