Barcelona's new signing, Antoine Griezmann says he is yet be welcomed to the team by club captain, Lionel Messi.
The Frenchman became the newest addition to the La Liga Champions when he completed his move from Atletico Madrid on July 14.
And has since been getting ready for next season with his new teammates. Griezmann revealed that he got a warm reception from those in camp already, while Suarez has called to welcome him to the team, although he is yet to hear from Messi.
In a press conference ahead of the friendly game against Chelsea on Tuesday, the forward was asked about his new teammates and how he was settling in.
"The truth is it started badly because they nutmegged me twice in my first rondo. Luckily I have learned the lesson," Griezmann said.
"Messi has not called me yet, but Suarez did. He congratulated me and welcomed me.
"The group has welcomed me and I am happy to share a dressing room with them. Hopefully, I can help in the best way possible."
Messi is reportedly keen for Barcelona to add Neymar to the team but it seems like that move wouldn't happen this summer after Griezmann's capture.
The Argentine and Suarez are yet to return for pre-season, with both players getting extended breaks having been involved with their national teams at the Copa America.
