Russian top club, Zenit St Petersburg, recently confirmed the signing of Barcelona winger, Malcom, on a 4-year deal worth €40 million (£36.5m/$44.5m) and €5 million (£4.6m/$5.6m) in potential add-ons.

The 22-year-old made 24 appearances in all competitions for Ernesto Valverde's side last season, scoring four goals after joining the Catalans from the French Ligue de, Bordeaux.

The young Brazilian, who was close to joining Roma last season, was even reported to be on a plane to Italy when Barcelona made contact with his agent. The youngster then made a massive U-turn opting to join the Spanish La Liga giants for a 5-year deal worth €41 million, but after just one season, the folks at Barcelona are ready to do away with the winger.

The La Liga champions, Barcelona, will also receive a huge percentage of any transfer fee should Zenit sell Malcom later in the future, a deal the Camp Nou outfit finds irresistible. With the big money signing of Atletico Madrid and France winger, Antoine Griezman, Malcom is now surplus to requirements and would be regarded as a third choice winger behind the two Frenchmen, Dembele and Griezman.

Malcom leaves Barcelona with two club medals, the La Liga title and the Supercopa de Espana, during only season in the city of Catalonia. He hopes to revive his career in Russia, where he will be playing alongside former Chelsea veteran right-back, Ivanovic, Chelsea winger, Willian, Fred and Belgian midfielder Witsel.
