Super Eagles player, Samuel Chukwueze, showered his mother with love as they both had fun on a cruise boat. His football club gave him an extended three weeks break following his exploits on the continent with the Nigerian national team. He spent all his vacation period with his mum and family.
Sharing photos via his social media account, Chukwueze captioned: “Mummy above everything, Love you mum.”
The 20-year-old-winger who played an integral role for the Super Eagles at the just concluded 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted in Egypt, where he scored once as Nigeria finished third with bronze medal, has now returned to his football club, Villarreal, to complete preseason games in preparation for the 2019/2020 La Liga season.
Samuel scored eight goals in 38 appearances across all competitions last season, to help Javier Calleja’s men finish 14th in the Spanish La Liga 2018/2019 table. The yellow Submarine of Spain, Villarreal, took to Twitter to confirm Samuel Chukwueze's preseason arrival on Monday.
“He’s here! @chukwueze_8 started his special #YellowsPreseason training programme at the Training Ground after taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations with @NGSuperEagles. Great to have you back, Samu!” the club posted.
Chukwueze will be expected to play a major part when Villarreal takes on La Nucia in a preseason game on Wednesday, August 7.
