Three-time Premier League winner, Jose Mourinho, is said to be joining the Sky Sports punditry team in breaking down the 2019-20 English Premier League (EPL) season.

Having managed two different clubs in the competition, his in-depth knowledge of the game would be a big upgrade for Sky Sports media agency.

The Portuguese has coached other clubs in various countries, including Inter Milan in Italy, Porto in Portugal and Real Madrid in Spain, but his wealth of knowledge from dressing rooms and dugouts across the country would spark up the analytic point of view in the EPL.

The fact that he has coached two top clubs in England, Chelsea (where he had two stints, won three English Premier League titles and an FA cup) and Manchester United (where he lifted the Europa League and community shield as well as the Carabao cup) would be an added advantage. His strong opinions masked in controversy would also be put to good use in the Sky Sports studio this season.

Mourinho is set to make his debut appearance in the studio in the big game on Sunday between Chelsea and Manchester United, two clubs he previously managed. Mourinho will join a team already consisting of Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness, and Jamie Redknapp.

"The Premier League is a special competition for me, one that takes so much hard work to win and you just can't take your eyes off the matches every week," Mourinho said, relishing his newfound role

Mourinho is not a novice in punditry, as he has already been a pundit with Eurosports and BEIN Sports in his career. While he is yet to get another job since his last campaign with Manchester United, he has found solace in punditry.
