Romelu Lukaku Bags 4 Goals On Inter Milan Debut

Former Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, was not available for Saturday's friendly trip to Valencia, after just joining the Italian club, Inter Milan, on Friday.

He was left out of Antonio Conte's match day squad entirely but Inter Milan eventually won that match on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

However, he was part of a much-changed side that took to the field for a low-intensity encounter against Serie D minnows, Bergamo, on Sunday. Inter Milan supporters were happy to see their new boy on the field, though the game was not a high profile match.

Lukaku was immediately handed the number nine jersey, previously worn by embattled, Mauro Icardi. Lukaku seemed to have made a good first impression, as he netted half of Inter's goals in an 8-0 thrashing of Virtus Bergamo, Matias Vecino and Sebastiano Esposito. Two other players in need of minutes, scored braces to complete the rout.

Inter Milan would rest easy knowing they have gotten a suitable replacement for Icardi who has been having challenges with the club. How quick Lukaku can adapt to the Italian Serie A would be crucial for Antonio Conte men, who might be looking to end the dominance of Juventus, who have claimed the Italian Scudetton eight times on the bounce.
