The Frenchman, Ousmane Dembele, has been confirmed by Barcelona to miss a total of five weeks after sustaining a hamstring strain injury.
Dembele was a 90 minute's substitution in Barcelona's La Liga opener against Athletic club last week Friday which eventually saw the defending La Liga giants lose the match to a late lone goal from Bilbao striker, Aritz Aduriz.
The Catalonia club confirmed on Monday that Dembele picked up a strain in his left hamstring and will be reported out for approximately five weeks. His injury is ill-timed for Barcelona, as their front line has been marred by injury worries already.
Luis Suarez, who went down injured during their loss to Athletic, came off in the first half with a calf problem of his own. He is most likely to miss Barcelona's next game, though the Camp Nou doctors have not announced the length of the injury Suarez sustained.
Lionel Messi recovering from a minor calf injury he sustained. The Argentine led Argentina to the Copa America where they could only manage to claim the Bronze medal. With Dembele and Suarez out injured, Messi might be rushed back into the team.
