Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho, has now become the youngest player in German Bundesliga history to score 15 goals in the league. He has broken a half-century-old record.
The 19-year-old winger, who joined German league big boys, Dortmund, last season from EPL giants, Manchester City, has gone on to establish himself as a prolific player and one of the best players in the German league.
On Friday, Borussia Dortmund squared up against Cologne in their second match of the season. Dominick Draxler put the Cologne 1-0 up early in the first half, but on the 70th minute, Thorgan Hazard created a swift opportunity which Jadon Sancho converted with finesse, helping turn the tide in the contest.
Morocco right-back, Achraf Hakimi, found the net 16 minutes later to give Dortmund a 2-1 lead. Sancho proved his quality again when he assisted Paco Alcacer’s for a third goal in stoppage time to give the visitors a 3-1 victory.
The former Manchester City wonder kid now takes his tally this season to two goals and two assists, as he picks up his fine form from last campaign.
Last season, Sancho scored 12 goals, adding 14 assists in the league. Although Dortmund didn't win the Bundesliga, it helped them to a title challenge that lasted till the final match day of the season.
