Renato Sanches Departs Bayern For Lille

Bayern Munich midfielder, Renato Sanches, has completed a €25 million deal that would see him leave Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich, for France where he would now play with French top tier side, Lille.

On Friday evening, Bayern Munich confirmed his departure via their official Twitter account.

Bayern chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, said: "Renato Sanches asked us for the transfer because he wanted to join a club where he plays regularly."

The Portuguese midfielder has not been an integral part of the squad but has two Bundesliga titles for the three years he has spent at Allianz Arena. First team football has been hard to come by for the 22-year-old since he arrived at Bayern from Benfica in July 2016.

Renato Sanches joins the arrival of young talents, including Yusuf Yazici, Victor Osimhen and Timothy Weah. Lille has had an eventful transfer window, signing prolific young players for a reasonable fee after the sale of their key man, Nicholas Pepe, to North London club for a record fee of £72 million during the concluded summer transfer window in England.
