Hudson-Odoi Signs New 5-Year Chelsea Deal

Teenage England star, Callum Hudson-Odoi, has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with Chelsea. The deal is understood to be worth more than £120,000 a week in wages for the young winger.

"It's been a long wait but it's done now and I'm really happy about that," Hudson-Odoi said.

"I've been a Chelsea player since I was eight and this is the right club for me to be at."

Hudson-Odoi, who was one of Chelsea's hottest players, was earlier scouted by German Champions, Bayern Munich, as the potential successor to the void left by Dutchman, Arjen Robben, who retired from football after the 2018-19 season after a decade at Allianz Arena.

This new contract puts to rest months of transfer speculations surrounding the 18-year-old England winger's future. The biggest threat of leaving Stamford Bridge came in January, when Hudson-Odoi handed in a transfer request after Chelsea had rejected a £35m bid from Bayern Munich.

However, the new manager, Frank Lampard, has assured the teenager that he is an integral part of his plans. Hudson then indicated he was ready to commit his future. After signing a 5-year deal, he is set to return to the first team, though he is still recovering from an Achilles injury suffered in April.
