Manchester United defender, Phil Jones, has caused quite a stir on the internet, after saying that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be sacked.

These words uttered by the 27-year-old centre-back have been considered highly unprofessional and he has been chastised by Manchester United transfer manager and financial director, Ed Woodward.

Jones was seated in the stands, just behind United's CEO, Woodward, during Sunday’s game at the olympic stadium, the home ground of West Ham.

The moment where Jones appeared to mumble something like "Gone in the morning", a derogatory way of saying Solskjaer was going to be sacked soon, was caught on video by Sky Sports.

West Ham fans had been taunting Solskjaer with chants: “You’re getting sacked in the morning”

According to the accusations online, Jones joined in the charade before being scolded by Woodward, who ordered him to keep shut and Jones eventually left the seat and never returned.

The arrival of big money signing, Harry Maguire, has further displaced Jones from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's defensive plans, with Maguire partnering with Lindelof in the heart of United's defense.

If truly Jones made that statement, his future in Manchester United will be put under scrutiny for unprofessional words and indiscipline.
