The Brazilian duo of Vinicius Junior and debutant Rodrygo scored crucial goals to guide a youthful squad, that looks much-changed and inspiring to a 2-0 win over Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabeu.
That win sent the Los Blancos to the top of La Liga primera division. Brazilian teenager, Vinicius, was emotional after finding the net for the first time since February. However, the goal came through a deflection which helped the ball beat Osasuna goalkeeper, Ruben Martinez, in the 36th minute.
New signing, Luka Jovic, scored what could have been his maiden Real Madrid goal but was chunked out by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the second half.
However, 20-year-old Brazilian, Rodrygo, marked his first appearance since arriving from Brazilian club, Santos, last season by opening his goalscoring tally barely two minutes after replacing fellow countryman, Vinicius Junior.
The victory on Wednesday night might have eased the pressure on Zinedine Zidane, but the Frenchman is in for a major headache during Saturday's clash with City rivals, Atletico Madrid, who are one point behind the Galaticos and sitting pretty in the second position.
Zizou, as he loves being called by the press, will face a stern and uphill battle to keep his role as Manager of Real Madrid should he lose that encounter the same way they had lost 7-3 to Atletico Madrid in the preseason.
