Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has been nominated for French Ligue 1 player of the month for September.
The Lille LOSC forward has been shortlisted for the award alongside Algerian forward, Islam Slimani, who plays for Monaco and Nantes’ Nicolas Pallios.
The 20-year-old was announced as the Lille's player of the month for September on Sunday and could win the French League's equivalent of that award if he comes out tops when the votes close by midnight on Saturday.
Osimhen had scored seven times and assisted two goals in nine league appearances for Lille this season, including two in September against Angers SCO and Strasbourg.
On his part, Slimani who is on loan from Premier League side, Leicester hit the back of the net three times in four games for Monaco during the time. He also assisted his teammates four times.
Pallois, a teammate of Nigerian forward, Moses Simon at Nantes, played a key role in the club’s surge to second position in the table. The Center back was the standout defender in Ligue 1 last month, helping his side keep three cleansheet in four games.
Last month's award was won by Rennes 16-year-old midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. The Congolese youngster beat Nimes' Zinedine Ferhat and Toulouse's Baptiste Reynet to become the youngest player to win the award.
