Italian Serie A club, AC Milan, has just dislodged the club’s senior coach over an allegation of incompetence.

Giampaolo, who recently signed a two-year contract with the club, has been offered a leave after failing to perform to expectations since the beginning of the season.

AC Milan has played a total number of seven games and has only won three of these games. The president of the club, Silvio Berlusconi, has expressed a deep concern over his future as the head coach of the Italian giants. Berlusconi also pointed out an error at Giampaolo’s team selection and also the loss that was recorded against Derby Della Madonnina.

"AC Milan announces it has relieved Mr. Marco Giampaolo from his position as coach of the first team. The club is grateful to Marco for the work carried out and wishes him all the best to come in his professional career," AC Milan announced on its official website.

The Serie A club has offered Luciano Spalletti a contract which reached a deadlock after talks of compensation fees. Another target is Stefano Pioli, who is the former coach of Fiorentina. Pioli is expected to take over from Giampaolo as soon as possible.

Pioli, who has worked with Parma, Sassuolo, Palermo, Lazio, Chievo and Bologna since the beginning of his coaching career, will be seen taking the Serie A giants to the next level after the worst season start.

He is expected to sign a two-year contract earning €2million per season, according to a report. His first game will be October 20 after the international break.
