Former England Coach, Andy Flower, Exits England And Wales Cricket Board

Bernard Femi

Andy Flower was the former captain of Zimbabwe cricket team and was the head coach of England cricket for five years.

Flower won three ashes with England and the 2010 World Twenty, reaching number one in test rankings in 2011.

"The Ashes victory in 2010-11 stands out. It's difficult to win in Australia, and to do it so comprehensively was a really proud moment in my coaching career," Flower stated.

He also worked as an assistant coach to Peter Moore before he was appointed as the England Lions coach on a five-year contract. 51-year-old Flowers led the England Lions to a victory in India in 2012-2013. He tagged the winning as a special victory.

Flower further noted that his team was actually the best in the T20 World Cup in 2010. The team won the cup after playing against tough opponents. He commended the players’ freedom and aggression towards clinching one of the most important cups ever in cricket world.
