Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has expressed his displeasure with the upcoming changes to the African Cup Of Nation.
Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently confirmed that the competition which was played for the first time during the summer last year will revert to the January/February format.
This implies that Liverpool, who currently boast of African superstars like Mohamed Salah, Naby Keita, and current African player of the year Sadio Mane in their ranks, could be without them for up to six weeks at a very important stage of the season.
“I couldn’t respect the African Cup Of Nations than I do because I like it, but its an obvious problem that you play a tournament in the middle of the season. the tournament going back to January is a catastrophe for us” said the Liverpool manager at a press conference on Friday.
