Ighalo, Fernandes Have Made A Good First Impression - McTominay

Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay, has spoken of his first impression with new signings, Bruno Fernandes, the Portuguese international, and Nigerian forward, Odion Ighalo, who arrived Manchester United in the January transfer window.

Fernandes had completed his transfer from Sporting Lisbon during the final days of the transfer window in a deal that dragged for months, while striker Ighalo signed on loan from Chinese Super League club, Shanghai Shenhua, with just hours of the winter window left.

McTominay, who is currently absent due to a knee injury, told Sky Sports News during an interview on Wednesday that the new signings have made a good first impressions around Old Trafford.

”They are really, really nice guys. First and foremost they are good people. That's what we need at this football club,” he stated.

”We need people who are good friends, obviously, who can go out for dinner for everybody as well.

”What they bring onto the pitch we have seen that, and hopefully they can bring a lot for us. First impressions are very, very good.”

McTominay, will be keen to play alongside Fernandes in the centre of midfield after Bruno sealed his move for a fee in the region of £68m. The 25-year-old made his debut in the goalless draw against Wolves on Saturday and was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.

The Manchester United players are currently on holiday amid the Premier League winter break. They are scheduled to return to action with a trip to Stamford Bridge on February 17 to face rivals, Chelsea. The Red Devils sit seventh, six points below their next opponent, Chelsea, who are fourth on the table.
