Manchester United young attacking sensation, Mason Greenwood, believes Manchester United's team is filled with an array of speedsters, that are so fast they would conveniently form their own 6x100m relay team instead of the normal 4x100m standard of four runners.

The 18-year-old who spoke to a Football media house called ‘Soccer Bible’ and when he was asked who he would pick in Manchester United imaginary 4x100m relay team, Greenwood said,

”That’s hard because we’ve got some really fast players.

"I’ve got to have Marcus Rashford on the last bit, Brandon Williams too, he’s rapid, Anthony Martial, and probably Diogo Dalot, because he’s very fast as well."

Subsequently, he was asked where he would place himself and teammate, Daniel James in the Sprinting team, Greenwood replied: "Oh yeah… can it be 6x100m then?"

It would come as a surprise that Greenwood would omit Daniel James in the first place.

The Welshman who joined Manchester United this summer from Swansea has been known for his surging runs forward to attack and quick speed in running back to defend.

It won't be surprising to note that Man United have often played their best when playing counter-attacking football this season. This is as a result of rich options of speedy attackers in their Arsenal, which includes Daniel James, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Anthony Martial.

Following the exit of first-team forwards Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez who joined Inter Milan in the summer, Greenwood finally broke through the Academy ranks to feature in Manchester United first-team squad.

He also attested to deriving inspiration from Marcus Rashford who broke through the Academy to become a consistent starter for Manchester United.
