Portugal is set to be named UEFA Nations League semi-finals and final hosts next June after topping their group.
The European champions secured top spot in League A, Group 3 after a goalless draw with Italy on Saturday night.
Fellow group members Italy and Poland had bid to host the latter stages of the mini-tournament with Portugal.
It was agreed in principle by UEFA that the winner of the group would become hosts.
The Portuguese team won their first two games before the draw in Italy to become the first team to qualify.
In a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Dublin next month, Portugal is expected to be announced as hosts.
The semi-finals will be played on June 5 and 6 and the final will take place on June 9.
