Many celebrities have come out to make donations to fight the bush-fire outbreak in Australia. The Hemsworth brothers, Liam and Chris have also taken a step in this direction.
The Australian actor shared the news in a video message he posted on social media, urging his fans to contribute whatever they “can muster up”.
He explained: “Like you, I want to support the fight against the bushfires here in Australia. My family and I are contributing a million dollars. Hopefully, you guys can chip in too. Every penny counts so whatever you can muster up is greatly appreciated.”
They also made a move to make their fans make a contribution to this cause as he provided a link where his followers can donate money to the cause, saying:
“Beyond appreciative to everyone around the world for their well wishes and donations. It really does make a difference, so dig deep! Love ya.”
This will not be the first incidence of bush fire in Australia. Major firestorms that result in severe loss of life are often named based on the day on which they occur, such as Ash Wednesday and Black Saturday.
Some of the most intense, extensive and deadly bushfires commonly occur during droughts and heatwaves.
